Collect: Plain Red OR Serum Separator Tube (SST) - 1.0 ml serum.
Specimen Preparation: Allow serum specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within two hours of collection. If a tube other than a gel-barrier tube is used, transfer separated serum to a plastic transport tube.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Grossly hemolyzed specimens
Stability: Ambient/Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 1 month
