Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) OR Plain Red - 2 ml serum or plasma.
Specimen Preparation: Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer plasma to a Standard Transport Tube. )
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Specimens containing calcium chelating anticoagulants such as citrates, EDTA, or oxalates.
Stability: After separation from cells: Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 1 month
