494For the quantitative measurement of C-peptide in serum, as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with abnormal insulin secretion.
Collect: Serum Separator Tube (SST) .
Specimen Preparation: The patient should be fasting. Allow blood samples to clot (15 mins). Separate the serum from the cells by centrifuging for 10 minutes. Store serum at 2-8°C until analysis.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated
Stability : For longer storage, aliquot and freeze. Stable at –20°C for 30 days.
